Is it permissible to switch madhhab/'aqida? If so, do da'i (people performing da'wah) in Muslim countries encourage people to follow local traditions, or the da'i's traditions? Some reform movements often encourage a change in local practices--do they also explicitly encourage a change in fiqh? 1
